Introduction
The graphic operation terminal (GOT) is designed in a way that it can be installed on the panel surface of a control panel or operation panel and connected to the program connector of the PLC inside the control panel. The GOT allows the user to monitor and change various devices of the PLC while checking the screen.

A common way to load code during run time in a Flex 3 (Air) application is using Modules. This special type of dynamically loaded SWF files allows the application to load separate parts that it requires only when it needs them. The user experiences shorter loading times due to smaller SWF file size and the developer can separate features into single modules that he can work on independently.
So far so good but unfortunately they cannot be run in a stand-alone way. Instead they must be loaded in an application. This makes it rather complicated when it comes to testing. If you have an extensive application with lots of different functionalities which are encapsulated into many different modules it can be very annoying to deploy the whole application just for testing only a small aspect. At this point the ‘Flexible Module Loader’ (FML) is going to be a very helpful tool.

Wer hat sich diese Frage nicht schon einmal im Umgang mit interaktiven Medien gestellt! So einfach sie zunächst klingen mag, so entscheidend ist sie für die Akzeptanz interaktiver Produkte und den damit verbundenen Markterfolg. Eine Antwort auf diese Frage – oder noch einen Schritt weiter – diese Frage zu eliminieren ist Ziel des “World Usability Day“. Nun schon zum vierten Mal fand dieser am 13. November 2008 unter dem Motto “Making life easy!” auf 170 Veranstaltungen in 43 Ländern statt. Allein in Deutschland gab es in 14 Städten die unterschiedlichsten Angebote zum Thema Usability. Als Softwareentwickler mit der Spezialisierung User Interface Design bei der ubigrate GmbH in Dresden und der damit verbundenen Nähe zu Berlin, entschied ich mich für die Veranstaltung in der Hauptstadt, deren Tag sich ganz um die “Usability im Web 2.0” drehen sollte.
